FUEL CELL PROJECT MANAGER - CALIFORNIA

Candidate will be responsible for providing professional, technical project management services in support of a growing client base with a leading fuel cell development company located in Northern California.  Some job responsibilities include management of customer relationships, hire and manage subcontractors, and manage all aspects of fuel cell installation projects. 

Qualifications include a working knowledge of electrical distribution and mechanical systems, electrical codes and electronic principals and theory.  The right candidate must be ready for a fast-paced start-up environment.  He/She must be a self-starter and a team player. Candidate will
 Interface directly with customers to understand their needs, manage the installation of fuel cell systems with available resources and within the constraints of time, cost, and performance/technology to meet.  He/she must work to meet contractual profit objectives and act as the customer (external) and upper-level and functional management (internal) communications focal point.  The candidate will n
egotiate with all functional disciplines for accomplishment of the necessary work packages within the constraints of time, cost, and performance/technology. 

The candidate should have
10 years experience in Project Management of turnkey electrical system installations with a strong background in electrical and or mechanical engineering, a strong background in facilities, power systems, and interconnection of the grids and knowledge of codes (NEC, NFPA), standards (IEEE 1547, UL 1741, Rule 21 and other interconnection standards) and regulations (city, state and federal) is essential.  Fuel Cell experience is a plus but not required.  Travel will be required and candidate must have a flexible schedule (weekends, evenings, and holidays) and posess a v
alid driver’s license.

FUEL CELL ASSEMBLY ENGINEER - California

This individual should be a dynamic and experienced professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies with one of the industry's most promising start-ups. 
Responsibilities wil include: 

1.      Assist in system component layout

2.      Assemble, mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for use in stocking Kanbans for use in production system

3.      Integrate assemblies at sub-system level

4.      Must demonstrate safe working conditions

5.      Must be able to use refractory room, bench level equipment, and orbital welder

6.      Must be able to read engineering drawings, and some schematics

7.      Will be responsible for the quality of work, and workmanship standards

8.      Will be responsible for FRACAS entries at component level

9.      Will be required to work with engineering to take conceptual design to physical layout

10.  Will be tasked with assisting material disposition

11.  Will be required to adhere to material movement practices

12.  Will work with system test group to trouble shoot assemblies and rework materials in order to meet system requirements

13.  Will be required to work with minimal hands on direction

14.  Must perform hand-over-hand sub-system quality checks.

15.  Will be responsible to fill out all production paper work accurately as defined

16.  Must work at cross functional levels to solve problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

FUEL PROCESSOR REACTOR ENGINEER - Oregon

Modeling research and design on projects related to fuel processors. Responsibilities include reactor configuration, heat exchange, flow dynamics and kinetics modeling of heterogeneous catalytic systems, experimentation to confirm simulation results, design optimization and validation, design down-selection, data analysis and reporting. The candidate is expected to interact effectively with other engineers and marketing managers to prototype reformer systems. Regular presentations and written reports on project findings are required. Develop computer programs to simulate fuel processors for gaseous and liquid hydrocarbons, and simulation strategies to identify promising vaporizer, mixer, and reactor designs.  To learn more about this position. 

FUEL CELL FIRMWARE/SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Oregon

In this hands-on role, you will lead a team of engineers in the design, development and

implementation of the next generation of reformer and fuel cell system controls software.

 Responsibilities

  •  Analysis system architecture & control requirements

  • Assess architecture and current hardware capability

  • Model fuel processor and fuel cell control algorithms utilizing software tools

  • Design, develop, implement, and test of major software engineering applications utilizing various software tools

  • Integrate and test control software with fuel cell systems and subsystems

  • Support product certification (CE, UL, CSA, and NEBS) by assisting in the development of supporting documentation and following certification agency guidelines to ensure proper conformance to the recognized national and international standards.

  • Support ISO quality system by assisting in the development of quality system documentation (as required) and following internal process to ensure proper conformance to established policies and procedures.
